The Chamber’s new Chairman Y K Pang hosted a cocktail reception at Club Lusitano on July 14 to meet fellow members. Y K spoke about his background as well as the recent work of the Chamber. Over 130 people attended the event, including the General Committee and Committee Chairmen.
Chamber members learned about some of France’s lesser-known wines produced in the Languedoc region. Augustin Bardet, Chief Sommelier of Grand Wine Cellar, explained the characteristics of a variety of Languedoc wines, and how to match various dishes with the wines.

Some 500 members and guests attended the Chamber’s Chinese New Year Dinner at City Hall on February 18 to welcome in the Year of the Horse. Chief Secretary for Administration the Honourable Carrie Lam, Deputy Minister for the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong SAR Madam Yin Xiaojing, President of the Legislative Council the Honourable Jasper Tsang, together with Chamber Chairman C K Chow and Deputy Chairman Y K Pang, dotted the eyes of two lions to bring luck and prosperity to members.
